About Me
Long story long...
My favorite things in life are touching rocks (I travel to see ruins across the world), reading fantasy smut (and I write it, too!), picking things up and putting them down (aka weight lifting), and of course, coffee.
I was born and raised on the Northshore in Massachusetts and spent a good portion of my life living in Salem - the city of the witches. I made a lot of not-so-great choices in my teens and early 20s, which lead me down a road of mental and physical suffering.
Literature saved my life, which sparked a dream of becoming a teacher. I put myself through grad school in Boston and graduated with a Master in Literature and Master in Teaching (secondary English).
From here, I taught public high school English for eight years, along with an array of college classes ranging from creative writing to social ethics.
In 2021, I made the difficult choice to leave my career, knowing teaching would never be the same after the pandemic and political shift. It was time for my generation of teachers with a Socratic style to find a new path.
While traveling the world to see every ancient site possible (along with following the Dave Matthews Band - as one does), I ended up falling into alignment at a small travel start-up.
While my time in start-up culture has been life-changing in the best ways possible, my ultimate goal is to become the sci-fi / fantasy writer my younger self has always dreamed of becoming. Every weekend, we write another page and finish another book. Will we publish? Maybe. For now, we perfect the craft.
The world may change, jobs may change, people may change, but writing is my anchor, my true passion, and the skillset that will lead me to great things in the years to come.
Like all things, my work and my page are ever-changing. Check back. You may find a fascinating update.
